Top Coats Stash!

Hello loves! I realised that I've been getting quite a lot of questions on Instagram about what top coats I use so I figured I'll do a full post on it + a slight review on each top coat + what I use each one for!

According to Wikipedia (HAHA!), a top coat is a "transparent or translucent coat of paint applied over the underlying material as a sealer". And honestly, a top coat makes a huge difference to a design. I see this huge difference quite often when I do roses on my nails.

So here's my topcoat stash!

From left to right:
Essence XXXL Shjne Gel-look - for most of my manicures to give that gel effect, especially glitters. It's not a fast-dry though, so you gotta be careful after applying!

Essence Quick Dry - I used this once or twice and I'm not a big fan of it. My designs got dragged right after I applied this. I'll give this another go to see if can do me justice.

Top Secret Ultra Fast Dry - One of my favorites but it doesn't give off a lot of shine (I like shine)! It's 3-free though! But sometimes, my designs get dragged too :(

Seche Vite Fast Dry - Handsdown the best so far. Super fast dry, shine factor is there. How I wish it was safe to use.

China Glaze Fast Forward - I like how fast-drying this is but I can't tolerate the smell! Can you?

Essie Matte About You - A Matte topcoat. So far it has served me well whenever I wanna mattify things! Saves me a lot of money to purchase matte polishes (but I still want Manglaze's Lesbihonest HAHA!)

What is your favorite topcoat? I'm still searching for a fast-drying, shiny, non-draggy and most importantly, safe-to-use topcoat.

Have a great day/night lovelies!
